Rob Kelland is the founder and leader of the Kelland Wealth Management Group. Rob is a Director of Wealth Management and Portfolio Manager, which allows him to manage assets on a discretionary basis. In 1984, Rob joined ScotiaMcLeod and has been with the firm for his entire career. Rob holds an Economics degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, has earned his CIM® designation and is also a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. Rob focuses on researching and monitoring the Kelland Wealth Management Group’s investment selections, and meets with our clients daily. Rob has been interviewed by the Globe & Mail Report on Business, and several other national industry publications. When Rob is not busy analyzing stocks or managing his team, he enjoys running, bike riding, the London Knights, and helping many charities in the London community.
After completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree, David spent two and a half years working in the Canadian Arctic, gaining valuable experience in the mining industry. A strong advocate of life-long learning, he returned to university to complete an MBA. Immediately upon graduation in 1984, he joined McLeod Young Weir and has been an investment advisor for thirty years working closely with individuals, families, large corporations and foundations. David is committed to offering opportunities to all in the community through his relationships with Mission Services, the Salvation Army and the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.
Both David and his wife, Pam, enjoy numerous outdoor activities including sailing, kayaking, downhill and cross country skiing as well as running and cycling. They share a special passion; both have become licensed pilots, and enjoy the freedom of flying their own aircraft.
John joined the Kelland Wealth Management Group in 2000, after a lengthy career in the accounting field. John plays a unique and valuable role on the team by offering his expertise in the areas of taxation, estate planning and retirement planning. He is also one of the authors of the team’s monthly investment newsletters. A graduate of Western University, John is fully licensed in securities and insurance, and holds the prestigious Chartered Professional Accountant designation. John is an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays, for better or for worse!
Natalie attended Western University where she received an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Statistics and Actuarial Science. Natalie joined the Kelland Wealth Management Group in June 2001 after four years of previous experience in the financial services industry. In her spare time, Natalie enjoys volunteering in our community.
Trina graduated from Western University, and has been with the Scotiabank Group since 2002. Trina joined the Kelland Wealth Management Group in 2005. She enjoys being involved with several charitable activities within ScotiaMcLeod and Scotiabank.
Talea began her career in the investment industry in 1999, and joined ScotiaMcLeod in 2001. She is committed to giving back to the community and is very actively involved in several charitable organizations. Talea loves spending time with her family, and she also enjoys running. She often spends her spare time being outdoors, or curled up with a good book.
Patty attended Western University where she received a Degree in Economics. She later attended Wilfrid Laurier University for Marketing and Business courses. Patty joined the Kelland Wealth Management Group in December 2008 after 25 years of previous experience in the financial services industry.
Lee graduated from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language & Literature. She was hired by ScotiaMcLeod in 1993, and joined Rob’s team the following year. When her children were young, Lee stayed at home full time to care for them. She re-joined the team in 2008. Lee enjoys yoga, chocolate mint ice cream, and spending time with her boys.
Nancy has been involved in the investment industry for many years, originally starting with McLeod Young Weir in 1979. Numerous Compliance and Business Development upgrades have allowed her to remain up to date on industry changes and regulations. By committing to the team’s investment principles and by providing clients with her superior level of service, Nancy has developed strong relationships of trust and brings added value to the team’s Wealth Management offering.
Both Nancy and her husband, Larry, work from their home in the Highlands East (Algonquin Park) community, where they share a hobby farm. She fills her spare time with animal rescue, western riding, back-packing, kayaking, gardening and volunteering for the local outreach/food bank organizations.
Sarah began her career with the Scotiabank Group in 2004. She moved to the Kelland Wealth Management Group at ScotiaMcLeod in February 2008. Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors and walking her dogs.
Adam has lived in London all of his life and is a recent graduate of Western University. Adam first started working at ScotiaMcLeod part-time at the beginning of 2013, during his fourth year of university. When his degree was complete, he permanently joined the team. Outside of work Adam loves cooking for family and friends, and keeping up with the world of cars.
